Ive recently bought the DH77EB motherboard and the Inteset Intel CIR receiver. Any ideas you could provide for an IT non-professional would be appreciated. DH77EB CIR not working with Intel Nuvoton driver. I did find an IR reference in the Human Interface section of the HD-18 referencingĪn ENE CIR Receiver. When checking device manager on the dv9249us I did not find reference to an IR unit in either the Human Interface or Universal Serial Bus Controller areas. This must have been a known side effect of the upgrade process since it occurred in two different PCs and found an HP IR driver referenced to correct this problem for another model called ENE CIR Receiver Driver (sp41645.exe) and installed this on the dv9249us
Currently, someone on ebay is selling the 8 pin version (the correct one for Intel boards) and it will set you back about 20USD. Finding a CIR receiver may prove to be the most difficult part of this task.
I upgraded an HP HDX-18 and a dv9249us HP laptop to Win 7 Ultimate (64 bit) and Home Premium (32 bit) respectively from Vista and have now found that the small HP remote controls that came with the PCs no longer operate the IR receiver to control WMC.įor the moment I have tried to find a fix for the dv9249us, as the HDX also has a larger specialized remote for the tv tuner that does still work, but I found that HP did not provide Win 7 upgrade support software for this model. All you need to do is find the CIR header on your motherboard, install a CIR receiver, and enable the CIR module in your BIOS settings.
